Trails and Waterfalls in Chapada Dos Veadeiros - 5 days

Chapada dos Veadeiros – Accommodation in Alto Paraíso – From Wednesday to Sunday.

Road map:

1st day: Wednesday – Arrival & Vale da Lua.

· Reception at Brasília airport or at a location to be arranged until 11:00.

· Transfer Brasília – Alto Paraíso (230 km)

· Lunch in Alto Paraíso and accommodation at the chosen inn.

· After lunch, we go on to discover the main attraction of the São Miguel River, Vale da Lua, a private property close to the National Park, 600m walk to the São Miguel riverbed, exuberant by the rocks with its exotic shapes sculpted by the waters over thousands of years.

· Return to the inn in the late afternoon, overnight.

2nd day: Thursday – National Park – Saltos do Rio Preto.

· After breakfast, we will walk along the trail that goes to Saltos do Rio Preto.

· The first waterfall visited is 120m long and has an unforgettable look, which has become a postcard of Chapada. Then, we will visit the 80m Salto which has a large swimming pool, great for swimming. On the way back from the walk, another bath in the natural hydromassage of Pedreiras. (Approx. 10 km)

· We will have lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon and return to Alto Paraíso.

3rd day: Friday – Santa Bárbara Waterfall & Capivara Waterfall.

· After breakfast, transfer to the neighboring municipality of Cavalcante.

· We will visit Engenho, 25 km from Cavalcante, part of the historic site Kalunga, former quilombo of refugee slaves from Bahia that were discovered in the 70s.

· We will visit the main natural attraction of the Kalunga community, Santa Bárbara with 30m high, a beautiful river with emerald green waters with large pools.

· After Santa Barbara, let's get to know another attraction of the Kalunga community,

· The waterfall formed by the Capivara river, when it falls through the incredible Capivara canyon, at the beginning of the Almas valley, the main region of the Kalunga community.

· We will take a short walk, along a trail with steep stretches. We will visit a beautiful pool of emerald green water, where the Capivara waterfall falls on one side and the Tiririca stream waterfall.

· At the end of the tour, we will have lunch prepared by the Kalungas in Vila Engenho.

· We will return to Alto Paraíso in the late afternoon.

4th day: Saturday – Leather Falls.

· After breakfast, we will travel 57 km towards the West.

· This day we will visit one of the most impressive complexes in Chapada, the Cataratas dos Couros.

· After 1h30 on off road roads, we will walk approximately 1.5km along the Rio dos Couros until the beginning of the falls, where the river drops in several stages into a large canyon with approximately 300m of unevenness, forming a festival of waterfalls and swimming pools . We will descend along one of the river banks until a part of the drop, where it is possible to see the falls above and below.

· Lunch specially prepared for the group on site and return to Alto Paraíso in the late afternoon.

5th day: Sunday – Cachoeira das Loquinhas / Return to Brasília.

· After breakfast, travel 8km to the waterfalls of Loquinhas.

· 1.5km suspended wooden walkway in the middle of gallery gallery forest.

· We will visit 07 pools of crystal clear turquoise waters.

· Farewell lunch in Alto Paraíso.

· Transfer to Brasília airport.

· End of our services – Book flights after 18:00.
